Today marks a new year, a new chapter. Last night as I was uploading these photos I got to thinking of how amazing 2015 was and to think I wasn’t even planning on going Europe that year. I started it off in Zurich on a seven hour layover on my way to Sarajevo, before starting a holiday job at a hostel in Mostar as a tour guide & pub crawl leader. I spent 10 wonderful weeks with the most amazing staff who became like family, and fellow blogger Krizia was my roomie, and soon became a sister I never had. Mostar was my home for the summer, the locals were my neighbours, staff became family, stray cats became cats i loved and fed everyday (yup i was the crazy cat lady of the hostel), and the streets of Mostar became my neighbourhood. As the summer was ending it was time to move on and explore places starting with Croatia, where I spent a week with family in Dubrovnik before making my way up north into the country, spending some time with my mum in Split and into Slovenia solo. This small but gorgeous country stole my heart from the very first minute and reminded me most of Bosnia. I visited Italy and Krizia showed me around her hometown and we went to Munich together for the Octoberfest. Had my first ever sip of beer, and yeah not a beer person, I hated the taste and the smell. I continued travelling, learning, and exploring, and after a few days in Prague which I completely fell in love with as well, it was time to go back to Bosnia. This was to be my last two weeks. I spent a few days with my mum and grandma, and soon was saying goodbye to mum as she was leaving for Sydney a week before me. I headed back to Mostar one last time for the year, and noticed how different the city is in the cold weather, with less tourists, less locals out and most cafes closed due to rain/wind/cold. My last two days in Sarajevo was with my grandma, and then it was time to say goodbye to Europe and head back home to Sydney.
Always Make Your Future. Bigger Than Your Past. I have had a awesome 2015. As sad as i am that it’s over, I am excited about the new year ahead, the adventures that lie ahead, and the opportunities that come my way.

Have you been to any of these places or are you going to add any to your list?
Such gorgeous photos! All of these places look so pretty. I love Italy and have always wanted to visit Croatia as I’ve heard so much about how scenic it is but I’d never thought of Bosnia as somewhere particularly to go until now. Mostar looks like a fairytale.
Btw, I feel you on the beer – not a fan either – but cool that you got to spend Oktoberfest in Germany!
Hope you have an equally awesome year of travelling in 2016.
Great photos, you certainly look like you had a fabulous 2015!
